Time Services Bridge
So far, the TimeKeeper was the only time base for Cafebahn applications RgZm, Clock and Graphic Timetable.
With "Time Services Bridge"
application one have the possibility on providing an alternate time base for Cafebahn applications using the model time created by MRclockserver or Rocrail.
Configure Application
The program "Time Services Bridge"
need not to be configured. It’s just listen on the network to the time of a selected MRclock- or Rocrail server and display it and pushed it into the Cafebahn network.
For Rocrail, it is possible to set an alternative host and/or port in the "clock.ini"
file other than the standard configuration (localhost:8051
). Changes in this file require a program restart.
Run Application
Applications scripts are located in the bin
subfolder.
MS Windows
Execute the file "timeservicesbridge.bat"
to start the application.
Unix/Linux
Execute the file "timeservicesbridge"
to start the application.
Operation
The graphical user interface is very minimalistic and the "Configure"
menu absolutly self-explanatory.
After starting, the “Bridge” is immidiately active and by "Configure>MRclock>..."
as well as "Configure>Rocrail>..."
an active time server can be selected. Afterwards the selected servers model time is diplayed promptly and pushed into the Cafebahn network.
If the connection of the current used time server is lost, the displayed time is cleared and a warning pops up, otherwise just the name of the server is removed from the menu list.
This program does not save any made settings and can be exited by just closing the window.
